It has been too long since we visited Disneyland and they are having their 60th. So what is the best way to do it in style? RV trip!!
We had a little extra time before leaving and TT wanted pictures, him in the photos and him taking the photos :)
This is such a great trip-note to self, do this again in 2028! We really enjoyed staying at the Anaheim RV Park. Even though we arrived late at night the security guy took care of us completely. Super clean, shuttle service, and helpful folks.
Meanwhile as we were driving over the Grapevine our friends were checking out the holiday decor in Downtown Disney.
Next day we were up bright and early to check into the kennel. Most days we were the first or second RV to park. It is nice to have the RV on site so that anyone can go out for a nap or dry socks.
Buster thinks Disneyland is boring-the kennels are super handy but basic.
And then we hit California Adventure so hard!
Even though the parks were super busy (something like 97% capacity) the line for Midway Mania was a reasonable 30-45 minutes.
Mickey's fun wheel, is huge so you go up super high and can see all over the park.
OMG I haven't been on a Ferris Wheel in 15 years!!! But it turned out to be a good experience-yeah!!
We are SO tall!
We can totally ride the jumping jellyfish!
But not too big to ride the bumper cars
or spinning ladybugs!
Woo hoo! If you don't get to the Racers first thing, or get a FastPass first thing, try the single rider line. True you won't get a full group shot, but just 2 of us barely had time to finish our drink.
Great lunch with longtime friends! Ralph Brennan's is our go to for meeting up with folks who are wiling to drive over to meet you, but don't feel the need to do the parks. It is in downtown Disney and they take reservations for large groups. And the bread pudding is ridiculously good.
