Bike and Wine days 3 and 4, Oregon July 2019

Bike and Wine days 3 and 4, Oregon July 2019

Holy cow these were good.  Breakfast at the B&B was different every morning, these were memorable.

Wine country is pretty.

Riding was optional!  So yes, we are going to do all the touristy things and go to the museum.  It has the Spruce Goose!

But then.  E- and I got sidetracked because right next door to the museum is a waterpark!  The 747 is the top of the waterslides!  No way could we miss it.

Super choice!  In a few hours we were able to ride all the rides and hang out in the swirly vortex pool.  Soooooo good!

We did walk over to see the outside of the museum.

Which had a lot of stuff going on outside.

Because it is hard to keep all the planes inside-lol!

Couldn't actually see the inside.  Maybe next time!  But only after the water park again.

And onto the drinking portion of the day.

One of the nicer outdoor tasting areas.  I like it when you look over the vineyards.

I love fuschia!

More flowers at one of the in-town tasting rooms.

While in town we realized we needed something other than wine.  Cocktails it is!

After cocktails we wandered around the town some.

Into the farmers market and ran into the worm folks.  One of the worst worm photos I've seen.  This does not make me want to use composting worms.

Still avoiding wine we found a mead tasting room, Mac Mead Hall.

So cool!!  These folks have really thought about their set-up

We each got a tasting flight and the bartender was excellent at understanding our tastes.  He was able to pick out a different flight for each of us so we tasted over a dozen in total.

So many different brands and flavor profiles.

Gorgeous bottles.

Love the decor.  The textured walls have pictures in them, hard to see in photos.

The final day.  Plenty of time to see it all.

The day started off foggy.  Great riding in the back roads that had almost no one else on them.

We watched a bailer making nice neat hay bales.

Bridge is too expensive?  Use a ferry!

Super short ferry just goes back and forth with cars, bikes, pedestrians.  Just a buck for cyclists.

We ended the day at a park and then went off to the airport.  Great time, would do again :)
